Bob Schneider

Bob Schneider is no stranger to Double Door’s Stage. Tonight marks Bob’s sixth Double Door show in three years and the word of mouth on him keeps spreading. His newest album, Lovely Creatures, is arguably his best, featuring the single 40 Dogs (Like Romeo and Juliet) and the fan favorite Tarantula.

A product of Austin, Texas’ diverse, eclectic music scene, Bob also fronts a few other bands, including The Scabs, Texas Bluegrass Massacre, and Lonelyland. When he isn’t on the road, he can often be found playing a show in one of Austin’s numerous bars and clubs on any given day of the week. Bob wears many musical hats, but his die-hard fanbase keeps coming back to hear his explorations of funk, pop, bluegrass, jazz, soul, blues, hip-hop, raunchy bar rock ‘n roll, and of course, his hilarious between-song banter.

Opening the show tonight is Smile Smile, the Male/Female folk-pop duo from Dallas, Texas. Doors open at 8pm, Smile Smile is on at 9pm, and Bob Schneider is on at 10pm.
