The Dirty Rooks

The Dirty Rooks bring their Mad Dogs and Englishmen-style rock and roll to the stage with a rotating cast of 13. Along with the classic instruments of rock brought by the original 5 members, The Dirty Rooks feature a screaming horn section, honky-tonk piano, and take fans to The Church of Rock and Roll with gospel backing vocals and a roaring Hammond Organ.
The Dirty Rooks' have produced two albums. Their first, self-titled, release (2007) was recorded at Blue Room Studio by Edgars Legzdin and was mastered by Tom Bethel at Acoustik Musik, Ltd in Akron, Ohio.
Their second album, Sugar Mama, (2010) was recorded in Chicago at Giant Squid Audio and was mastered by Mike Hagler, who has worked with artists including Wilco, Jon Langford/The Mekons, The Redwalls, and The New Pornographers, at King Size Audio Labs.

Jon Langford & Skull Orchard

"Lyrics that despair of politics, find true pain in true love, unhinge from terra firma, and gripe about the road are delivered with country plainness, glimmers of spirituality, plenty of rolled r's, and the sense that by singing reality you can make it mean something." —Robert Christgau, Village Voice
The O Mys

The O'My's are a band of scoundrels and hooligans holding down Rock'n'Soul for the windy city. They will not be stopped and are taking all of the booty. "Free your mind and your ass will follow" -Dr Funkenstein
Otis

Otis is a Chicago-based band comprised of musicians and sounds from coast to coast. A soul septet that includes a horn section, Otis delivers a powerful live show filled with intense highs and soulful lows showcasing not only honed songwriting ability but also outstanding musicianship and an exciting new sound.
The group draws inspiration from Sly Stone and Miles Davis as well as from the living legends of today. Front-woman, Jessica Ott and the boys can hold a heavy groove like a funk band, listen to each other like jazz musicians, and write memorable and meaningful songs like a soul group. Otis aspires to stand side by side with artists like Soulive, Roy Hargrove, D'angelo, Erykah Badu and Little Dragon, and join the ranks of the "new soul" movement; an infectious and eclectic sound that takes cues from many styles of music to set the standard for modern-day soulful music.
Song-craft, spontaneity, and improvisation come together each night so that no two shows are the same. But above all other aspirations, Otis wants to show each and every listener and audience member a good time by sharing their passion for music as a form of art and the human condition.
