The Coop
The Coop
The Coop is the concoction of drummer/producer Jake Barinholtz, guitarist/producer Danny Biggins, and bassist/producer Cason Trager. Formed in 2004 in Chicago, The Coop quickly broke into the jam-rock and electronica scene, and over time, evolved their sound and lineup to what it is today. With keyboard virtuoso Joe Re rounding out the group, the band’s sound and versatile abilities stretched into uncharted territories.

Capturing the modern unification of organic and future sounds through the fusion of electronic production and traditional instrumentation, The Coop consistently takes the listener on genre-bending aural adventures. The synchronization of breakbeat, dub, jazz, and jamband rock drive their core sound, resulting in dynamically flowing original tracks and live performances.

Between their debut album, Internalize, and their EP, A Fleeting Glimpse, The Coop proves that originality and popularity can coincide. With numerous headlining shows and major festival slots under their belt and many more on their upcoming schedule, this four-man sound system’s journey to the top is only just beginning.

“The Coop effectively combines traditional rock music instrumentation with electronic music’s new gadgets and provides a high energy experience perfectly suited to the earliest hours of the morning.” – Jambands.com

“This Chicago quartet eschews the notion that livetronica acts must adhere to traditional forms of electronica like house or trance that result in derivative and diluted runoff from the “trance-fusion” ethos. Rather, The Coop seeks to emulate current trends in EDM, which has led to a brand of live-glitch-hop aesthetic that runs rampant…” – The Untz
IndigoSun
IndigoSun
IndigoSun is a psychedelic funk-tronica group from Chicago making waves in the Midwest scene. Combining catchy melodies and talented instrumentalists with booty-moovin beats, we emanate funky vibes of groovy love and ecstatic dance.

Our sonic universe emerged from a big bang that fed on the fuel of many genres and influences as diverse as Lotus and The Meters, STS9 and Herbie Hancock, Jamiroquai and Big Gigantic, Sigur Ros and Radiohead.

But most importantly, we seek to find true freedom of expression through our music, and we hope to encourage others to do the same in all aspects of their lives. We always have a good time with our music, and we have come to GET DOWN!
Sonic Spank
Sonic Spank
Sonic Spank was formed in early 2009 by Benjamin Karp & Ian McGuire. In 2010 they added up and coming drummer Scotty Zwang. The trio seamlessly blends all styles of music pioneering a genre called Sextronica. What sets Sonic Spank apart from many acts in the scene is live guitar, keyboards & drums. Ben & Ian have been friends since Preschool and have collaborated on music since the beginning of Hi…gh School which explains their undeniable chemistry on stage and innocent perversion. Sonic Spank penetrates the line between the craft of DJing and virtuoso instrumental musicianship.
Sonic Spank has already made appearances at regional clubs, parties, radio stations and festivals with an enthusiastic response from audiences. So far, SONIC SPANK has been billed with major national/international acts including the Disco Biscuits, Pretty Lights, Skrillex, Bassnectar, Lotus, Crystal Method, The New Deal, Infected Mushroom, Big Gigantic, Future Rock, Orchard Lounge, Biodiesel, KJ Sawka, Brothers Past, Paper Diamond and The Egg.
Sonic Spank has major plans for 2012. With their first full length album 'Drama' set to release in the beginning of the year they plan to innovate their live concert experience, highlighted by big tours nationwide.
The tremendous Buzz surrounding SONIC SPANK is undeniable! Just ask the Wall Street Journal… "Sonic Spank punches hard with little subtlety, but drummer Scotty Zwang makes it work with innovative punctuations. Get to the club as early as you can!"
