The Shams Band
The Shams Band
Music is supposed to be fun, exciting, thought provoking and daring. On every live performance, The Shams Band makes sure that their audience leaves each concert with a personal feeling of satisfaction. Drawing heavily from their Kinks, Rolling Stones, and Wilco influences, singer/songwriters Biggins/Gulyas create distinct, personal songs. Once completed with unique four-part harmonies, the songs
come to life, tell stories, and send audiences singing all the way home.

The Shams Band features music trapezing the line between blues, country, and pop music. They have opened for national acts Drive-By Truckers, Dawes, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes and Grace Potter & The Nocturnals.

The Shams Band is the epitome of a "do-it-yourself" group. They get every audience excited and dancing from their catchy hooks and rock 'n roll atmosphere. It's whiskey-driven. It's a party. It's rock 'n roll with a banjo.
Molehill
Molehill
"Do not be fooled by the name. Chicago's Molehill is more like a mountain constructed with big guitars, melodic keyboards, and pounding drums. Combining elements of progressive rock with pop sensibilities along with expansive and emotionally charged lyrics, this band delivers a symphonic listening experience.
--Jesse Menendez, Vocalo and WBEZ, 89.5FM and 91.5FM Chicago

Chicago's Molehill rose t

Bassel (acoustic set)
Bassel (acoustic set)
Bassel’s sophomore effort, “Submerged,” was released in June 2010 at Used Kids Records in Columbus, Ohio. His first full-length album led to an array of interviews, write ups, and shows within the Midwest and Northeast regions. Shortly after the conclusion of his first four-week tour, Bassel was invited to perform at the Pelotonia opening ceremony with The Counting Crows & Augustana in the bike ri
de to end cancer.

Since his relocation to Chicago in the fall of 2010, Bassel’s style has taken on a fresh flavor combining his taste for indie-folk (Andrew Bird, Sufjan Stevens) and 60’s era soul music (Otis Redding, Al Green, The Temptations). He will spend the majority of 2012 collaborating with a reputable producer in Chicago, and performing around the country.
