Shana Falana is an experimental pysch-pop band emerging from Brooklyn’s vast shoegaze scene. Combining live-looping of reverb-drenched vocals and guitar with drums, pre-recorded “backing tracks”, and stunning visual projections, Shana’s live experience has often been described as transcendental. Love and Radiation is the project of Chicago-based collaborators Lakshmi Ramgopal and Adele Nicholas. Their self-titled debut was released on 3/30/12, with both members contributing guitar parts, lyrics, melodies, synth lines, and programming.

Their songs blend punkish grit and ethereal beauty, with distorted guitars, pretty vocal melodies, and dance-influenced beats. The members of Love and Radi
